Pipe Band Gathering

A Pipe Band Gathering is a meeting of Pipe Bands from a local area country or the world. 

At Gatherings Bands and Solo piping competition are held, Display bands take the field in the gaps between competing bands.  

On the same day/weekend and at the same venue it is common practice to hold:

Highland Games
Highland dancing 
Kids Play Areas
Markets
Carnival Rides
Beer Tent
Tea Garden
